Publications

Publications are public announcements describing ancestral remains, funerary objects, sacred objects, or objects of cultural patrimony that are in the control of a museum or federal agency, along with a written declaration of the museum’s decision on disposition. These are referred to as “Notices,” and are published in the Federal Register, a daily publication of the United States government.

To see the most updated list of completed Notices submitted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, please visit the National NAGPRA Program’s Federal Register Notices Database. Use “Univ. of Wisconsin, Madison” in the “Museum or Federal Agency” search field to find publications specific to this campus. The results table will include a link directly to the referenced Notice, where you can either access a web-based version or download a PDF version.
